Learning how to find and use technology is just the beginning. In this exciting and highly relevant onsite training, K-12 teachers will discover the learning needs of students today and the characteristics of a 21st century citizen. They’ll participate in discussions, activities, and hands-on practice with the technology tools most useful in today’s classroom. And, they’ll learn how to take best instructional practices and integrate them with teacher- and student-friendly digital resources.
Technology Participants Will
- Take a close look at how learning and instruction have changed because of technology
- Discuss research findings on the characteristics of today’s students versus earlier generations
- Identify learning styles—and what each type of learner needs in order to succeed
- Discover Web tools and digital tools to enhance instruction and to provide resources for students
- Learn the importance of visual tools/multimedia tools
- Discuss scaffolding lessons to engage all students
- Explore resource-rich websites
- Take a look at web tools for effective organization
- Discuss cooperative learning with technology as a strategy
